Isn't Manhattan pretty
in the morning when she cries?
The raindrops wash away
the pain she can not hide
The Angels spread their wings
above the city's sky
Allow us to reflect
on the seasons of our lives
Isn't Manhattan pretty
sometimes when she cries??
As she stirs up our thoughts
and brings in a new tide
For the clouds are simply dancing
Somewhere up above
While I'm just down here splashing
In my dreams and love
Isn't Manhattan pretty
especially when she cries???
I'm learning it pours hard
